We are excited to partner with the DP Open. This golf tournament was started in 2016 by friends and family in memory of Daniel Phelps.
Daniel was very active throughout his life playing baseball, flag football and finally settling on soccer as his sport of choice. Daniel, a member of a military family, moved nine times in his first nineteen years of life. He made friends quickly and become a positive influence wherever he went.
He graduated from Leilehua High School in Hawaii after being named athlete of the year and accepting a scholarship to play Division 1 Soccer at the University of Washington in Seattle. It was here that he truly blossomed. Daniel excelled as an athlete, scholar and even more importantly, as a leader and friend. Daniel’s greatest gift was to make all those around him better. He was a natural motivator with his teammates, friends, and family. His work ethic, charisma, and general outlook on life made him the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. Daniel was a Pac-10 All-Academic First Team member for 2007, 2008 and 2009.
He graduated from the UW Foster School of Business with a degree in finance. He started his career in Alexandria, VA, where he worked his way up to be a key member of a program management team. Daniel then returned to Seattle in 2015 to join an up-and-coming company where he could grow and make an even greater impact. Now back with his college friends, he continued to play soccer and was enjoying the prime of his life. He will continue to live on every day in our hearts and in everything we do as we strive to uphold his high standards and love of life.
Join us to raise money for Nick of Time Foundation while golfing, eating, drinking and being together.
