Every year thousands of kids die when their heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating. Known as Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), this syndrome can happen without symptoms or warning signs. The Puget Sound alone loses three to five kids each year.
It’s not a heart attack. SCA is an abnormality in the heart’s structure or electrical system that can be detected with a simple EKG. But EKGs are NOT a part of your teen’s annual well-child or pre-participation sports physical. All students are at risk, not just athletes.
Nick of Time Foundation and a medical team of local health professionals will perform non-invasive EKG screenings, no needles, or x-ray exposure.
Every student also receives “hands-only” CPR & AED training and how to respond in an emergency. The entire screening process takes about 40 minutes.
NoTF in partnership with Meadowdale High School will be hosting a screening on November 2, 2022.
Register your student today, limited spots are available!
Here’s how you can schedule an EKG screening if you are age 12-24:

The Nick of Time Foundation has screened thousands of teens throughout Puget Sound, detecting hundreds of heart abnormalities, dozens of which put those teens at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Several required life-saving corrective surgeries as a result of a condition uncovered during a screening.
